ST. CHARLES, Mo. – President Trump landed in St. Charles, Missouri this afternoon on Air Force One.
He was greeted by Governor Eric Greitens as well as a large number of protesters.
The President spoke at a campaign style rally to an enthusiastic crowd on a number of issues, including the border and North Korea, but today was was all about taxes.
Specifically, how the new Republican plan will benefit middle income Americans and small businesses.
“Our focus is on helping the folks who work in the mailrooms and the machine shops of America. The plumbers, the carpenters, the cops, the teachers, the truck drivers, the pipe fitters, the people that like me best,” President Trump says.
The President says a typical family of four earning $75,000 a year could see their taxes go down by as much as $2,000.
The President still has to win over some reluctant Republicans. At least nine GOP senators have expressed concerns about the tax bill.
